The cuts in funding to public schools have gone too far. We must work together to implement a fair and sustaining tax plan for the funding of our children’s schools.
TAXES
We must reform taxes so that they work for working families, and not large corporations. Extreme lawmakers in the Kansas House right now wish to reform tax law so that it works for millionaires and corporations who contribute to their campaigns. To pay for this tax reform, they are willing to cut education and services for children, seniors, and the disabled, making the gap between the rich and Middle Class even wider.
EMPLOYMENT
Tax cuts to corporations to create new jobs is an old and still unfounded idea. Real focus must be placed on restoring the middle class, and making the American Dream attainable again.
